Oldblue Co. Produces Its Heaviest Jeans To Date With Its Over-Weight Collection

Oldblue Co.’s new “Over-Weight” collection of jeans is the brand’s first foray into denim manufacturing greater than 30 oz. Coming in at 31-33 oz., they’re likely twice as heavy as many of you out there have experienced on a pair of jeans and look to rival those made by SoSo Brothers and Naked & Famous.

There are two styles/cuts to be had, with two variants of each style: crimson red, and blue weft denim. This 31 oz. raw selvedge denim is milled in China with super thick, rope-dyed yarns. Oldblue Co. state that the fabric weighs in at 33 oz. after the initial soak, so you might need to break ’em in a bit before, well, leaving the house! We especially enjoyed Oldblue’s safety disclaimer, which stated: “Any harms on buttoning-up and any scuffed body parts on wearing this MONSTER’ALLS denim is beyond our responsibility! Enjoy ’em at your own risk!”

If heavyweight slim-fitting denim means higher contrast fades, can you even imagine the crimson red or bolt blue whiskering you could achieve? These 5-pocket jeans feature Old Blue Co.’s first use of their hidden arcuate design, which is complemented by custom hardware sets from Scovill USA, doughnut buttons with burnt copper finishes, and a “9th Runnin’ Wild” leather patch commemorates the brand’s 9th anniversary, which actually took place in 2019.

Available for $249 at Old Blue Co.
