American Trench Introduces More Affordable Non-Ventile Trench Coats

Even the classic trench coat needs a facelift every now and again and what better brand to trust with this loaded task than American Trench, a brand that quite literary is defined by this enduring coat.

Their American Trench Coats in Tan and Navy have been produced in collaboration with Better Team USA in northern New Jersey. As for as design goes, they feature all the fixings you could hope for from a modern trench – tons of pockets both outward-facing and concealed, a detachable hood, and a trim fit that lets you layer without looking like your sneaking into the 3pm matinee.

However, it’s the fabrics used that really steal the show with both colors having different tricks up their sleeves. The Tan features a poly/cotton fabric from Japan with a Nano-wing weather repellant coating. The Navy uses an ultralight three-layer fabric shell treated with a DWR-treated cotton face, a breathable membrane mid-layer, and a Polyurethane film inner layer incase your commute involved walking through 3 waterfalls in a row. Both packing a punch, these more contemporary fabrics are more affordable than the Ventile traditionally used on AT’s trench coats.

Both are finished off with glen check plaid fabric lining, woven in North Carolina exclusively for American Trench, which is basically just a brag at this point.
