Fit
Easy on and easy off, the Maggie’s sock is cut a little shorter than most of the others on the list and has an extra long toe seam but it’s otherwise a solid option.
Fabric
The socks have a relatively coarse knit with thicker yarns that imprint into your foot after extended use. That looser knit also has the double edged sword of making the socks breathe better but at the expense of some insulation. Also Maggie’s states that the sock is “98% organic cotton” but doesn’t specify what that other 2% is, maybe elastane on the calf?
Construction
Quality level on these is high, the cotton is soft and the entire sock has a substantial feel.
Conclusion
They wouldn’t pass my “princess and the pea” test for toe seam and having thicker yarns, but these are an affordable and quality pair of socks for under 10 bucks that also have the bonus of being made in the states from organic cotton. Not a hard sell!
