Battenwear’s Vertical Stripe Canyon Shirt Embodies Fall

For a site predicated upon utility, I understand the contradiction of a seasonal piece*, particularly one that screams PUMPKINS as loudly as this Five Pocket Canyon Shirt from Battenwear does. But let’s bask in some contradictions because this shirt was built to be a fall rotation frontman — like it appears to be changing colors in sync with the actual trees — and seasonal shit is more fun anyways.

Existing somewhere in between a classic flannel and a chore coat, this one was made in the USA from a cozy ass 100% cotton flannel fabric and comes outfitted with a button front placket, a point collar, patch pockets at the chest, patch pockets at the hip, a hidden fifth pocket inside the right hip, a straight hem and a cut that’s built for layering.

Is this a shirt you’ll be rocking in May? Honestly, no idea. (There was a guy in my neighborhood who was wearing Polo Snow Beach gear well into June and he pulled it off and that’s ski gear, so I assume there’s a way.) But I do know you’ll be wearing it into the ground all fall long.
