Break Into Pure Blue Japan’s BRK-013-ID Broken Twill Slim Tapered Jeans

We’re all used to righthand twill and the occasional lefthand alternative, but can we get a little commotion for the least-loved twill of all? Broken twill was a fabric innovation popularized by Wrangler that helped take the pesky leg twist out of jeans. This kind of twill not only prevents seam twisting and turning in the wash, but it also breaks in super soft.

Pure Blue Japan was wise to incorporate this criminally underrated weave in one of their newest jeans: the BRK-013-ID. These rinsed unsanforized jeans weigh in at 13.5 oz. and will fade with a unique texture thanks to the aforementioned weave and blend of indigo warp and grey weft yarns.  Cut into their popular slim-taper style, this jean will certainly appeal to the persnickety skinny jeans wearer – who often doesn’t like the natural twist of a typical unsanforized denim.
