Bryan of Hungary and Norway went all in for the first “Redline Rally” – the Indigo Invitational fade competition for shirts and jackets. You know, those things you wear that aren’t your jeans? Equipped only with his Companion Denim Kakishibu x Indigo Western shirt, Bryan put in north of 250 wears over the course of the last year, suffering no washes in the process.
Through a bit of farming and a little time spent in the woodshed, our contestant let the shirt live a true life of authentic workwear. Well, before being forced indoors by COVID and subsequently wearing it inside nearly every day whilst working from home. We feel your pain, for sure! But as it turns out, pencil pushing can lead to fades, too, and one look at this shirt and it becomes clear that had Bryan officially entered the competition, he would have crushed.
From accordion honeycombs seemingly built right into the integrity of the sleeves to the mountainous whiskers emerging on the back panel, Bryan has coaxed some really strong wear out of this shirt and will surely be reaping the rewards for years to come with an overall color that’s going to age so nicely. This one’s for the WFHers!
