Fade Friday – Stevenson Overall Co. 727 La Jolla (5 Years, 4 Washes, 3 Soaks)

Philippe in France has said au revoir to a great deal of indigo over the past 5 years while wearing his Stevenson Overall Co. La Jolla jeans. Bought in NYC in May of 2017, Philippe has taken great care of his jeans throughout the years, only wearing them on weekends and holidays. Although separating work from play, he clearly lets it rip on the weekend and lets loose at parties because he has managed to get some great denim evolution in, here.

From phyllo dough honeycombs around back to shield-your-eyes-bright knees with whiskers dancing all around them, these jeans have all the right, authentic, wear in all the right places, including some more subtle washed out sections. For instance, those laps with shadowy remains of crease lines and an airbrushed seat and heels.

Considering Stevenson denim isn’t notorious for fading fast, Philippe’s weekend warrior fading schedule has done a good job and we’re super impressed. Think your Stevensons are better? You know where to submit ’em.
