Left Field Collaborates With Blue In Green For Exclusive Carpenter Pant

I’ve seen some pretty horrendous collaborations in my time. HUF’s collab with SPAM (yes, the preserved meat brand) in 2016 springs to mind. Naturally, since then, I’ve approached collaborations with an air of caution.

But when I hear Left Field NYC, Blue in Green and carpenter pants, suddenly all my fears are laid to rest. Coming in two colorways with more details than you can shake a stick at, the new LFxBIG collaboration elevates the classic workwear style pant to a whole new level.

The first colorway is constructed from 11.5 oz. indigo nep ‘Jelt’ selvedge denim sourced from Collect Mills Japan. This particular fabric is a reproduction of the Lee‘s ‘Jelt’ Denim, developed by Lee while it was working with Canton Mills, Georgia, in 1925. It’s known for being some of the strongest and bluest denim on the market making it a perfect fit for a pair of carpenters.

The second colorway is a little more fiery, so to speak. Constructed from 11 oz. brick loomstate denim, the brick-colored pants are made from arguably the purest form of denim, right off the loom, untreated and unsanforized. Although, they have been preshrunk, so no need to get all mathematical with the sizing.

Both pants feature a double-knee with knee pad opening, a knife pocket, coin pocket, and a double-side pocket. Pockets, basically. Stitched in throughout are Blue in Green’s signature green bartacks which help to reinforce the pants, as well as a green-painted Scovill tack waist button, copper rivets, and that all-important ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ stamp, baby.
