Benzak Denim Developer’s ‘Eco Selvedge’ Contains 40% Recycled Cotton

Benzak Denim Developers stans sustainability with its latest set of B-02 STRAIGHT 13 oz. Indigo Eco Selvedge and W-01 STRAIGHT 13 oz. Indigo Eco Selvedge denim jeans. These two pairs of jeans, in relaxed straight leg (B-02) and slim straight leg (W-01) cuts, are constructed from Candiani-milled 60-40 Organic Cotton-Recycled Cotton from post-consumer waste. With so much clothing going to waste these days, it’s past time we accepted that recycled denim is part of the future of denim, in addition to buying what you love and wearing it to death.

The two cuts in question feature sustainable-as-can-be denim milled in Italy, but are sewn up in Portugal, with a unique Santa-approved white-and-red selvedge ID that you won’t find anywhere else. These Portugal-made 5-pocket jeans also feature selvedge ID on the coin pocket, vintage-style Jacron semi-synthetic paper patch, strong poly-core cotton stitching throughout, metal button fly, copper rivets, arcuate-free back pockets, but they do have Benzak’s bull embroidery in lieu of a Levi’s-style red tab. Now all you have to decide is what flavor of straight leg you want to cop.

Available for $162 (B-02 Relaxed Straight/W-01 Slim Straight) from Benzak Denim Developers.
