Fun fact. In the early days, Gap used to stock Levi’s jeans! Why bring this up? Well, Will over in Seattle has a pair of 1969 Straight Fit Jeans from Gap which are taking things full circle. Achieving a delicious vintage look, these jeans have crossed the threshold from “beater” to “relic”.

From an absolutely busted seat riddled with Sashiko to melted crease lines in all the right places, these jeans have a look that most of us crave out of $300+ pairs. Copped for a spicy $49.99 + S&H, saying Will got his money’s worth out of these is an understatement.

Worn while going about his daily routine for the last 2 plus years, Will kept these Gap jeans on his legs while traveling the country, hiking, cooking, and even falling in love. It’s no wonder this wearable denim diary has become our guy’s most prized possession. And thanks to the aforementioned crafty repairs at points of stress, it looks like there’s still some juice left in these budget-friendly beasts.

How’s that for an endorsement of affordable denim?
