Sugar Cane’s 1947 ‘Aged Model’ Is Pre-Washed Done Right

Pre-washed jeans are a subject of some contention among the Heddels staff. Though most of us prefer raw denim jeans we can fade ourselves, or finding vintage pairs that have been naturally faded by someone else, we’ve come to a tentative agreement that any brand that makes really good jeans usually has the capacity to do really good washes.

Sugar Cane is one of those brands making really, really good jeans. So it stands to reason they can do a pretty respectable wash as well. Their Aged Model is a pre-washed take on perhaps their most essential garment, the 1947 jean. Made from that same beautiful 14.25 oz denim in Japan, these have been realistically aged to give them that well-worn vintage look. The 1947 is an incredible jean but can be hard to fade on your own because of its wide fit, so having a pre-aged version in your rotation definitely wouldn’t hurt.

And besides, it’s not like you’ll find a genuine 1940s pair of Levi’s for this price, so why not pony up for the next best thing?
