Double Knee Pants are a classic piece of workwear, and as the revival of Americana fashion is still in full swing they’re more available than ever. While they’re certainly one of the most casual styles of pants, if they fit your wardrobe they can make a great addition. We’ve done our best to cover a wide range of pricepoints so you can take advantage of our selections regardless of how much you can spend.
1) Grown and Sewn: Union Work Pant
Grown and Sewn‘s Union Work Pant lands solidly in the mid-tier price point for double knees, but they’re one of the nicest-looking pairs on this list. They’re made in the USA from 12 oz. cotton canvas and come in two great colorways. Each pair comes finished with YKK hardware and thigh/knee patches, which are securely attached with double-needle stitching and bartack reinforcement.

2) Carhartt WIP: Double Knee Pant
Carhartt WIP does a great job of adding a contemporary, somewhat streetwear spin to Carhartt’s workwear classics, so it should shock no one that it has a great selection of Double Knee Pants. Shown here in ‘Piscine Faded’, a pale blue color that is rarely paired with this style of pants, these double-knees are an absolutely beautiful interpretation of this style. The double knees have rivet reinforcements at the corners, triple-needle stitching, and plenty of pockets for all of your necessary items.

3) Jane Motorcycles: Bedford Canvas Double Knee Pant
Jane Motorcycle‘s Bedford Canvas Double Knee Pants are an excellent contender if you like the double knee style but don’t want the double fabric to go all the way up to the thigh. These pants feature fatigue-style front pockets, a roomy fit, and a straight yoke at the back. Made from 10 oz. canvas, these double-knees are plenty light in the waist and lower leg, but reinforce where it counts — at the knee.

4) Randy’s Garments: Utility Pants Canvas
Randy’s Garments makes another excellent pair of double knee Utility Pants that don’t feature double fabric up to the waistband. They’re made in the USA from 12 oz. canvas that has been treated with a water-repellent finish, and has bartacking as reinforcement at important areas. The back-left pocket features a flapped closure, which sets this pair apart from the others on this list.

5) Round House: Lot 2202 Double-Knee Duck Canvas Carpenter Pants
Heddels Shop has slowly been expanding its offerings, and Round House‘s Lot 2202 Double-Knee Carpenter Pants are one of my favorite selections. Despite being quite affordable, these pants are made in the USA from 12 oz. duck canvas, feature triple stitching and flat felled seams, and come finished a YKK zipper. While they’re definitely on the more workwear side of an already workwear style, they are an excellent bang for your buck.

Plus One – Kapital: Light Canvas Lumber Pants,
And who could be our Plus One this week but Kapital? They’re Light Canvas Lumber pants are made in Japan from black duck canvas, and feature diamond quilt stitched knee reinforcements. But that’s not all — with their eight pockets, copper hardware, suspender buttons, and cinched back, these pants are a sight to behold. While they’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, they’re certainly one of the most unique pair of double knees we’ve seen in a long time.
