This fabric is 15 ounces per square yard, which is lightweight by Samurai’s standards – but they’ll feel heavy and crispy compared to your vintage OG107s. That’s not to say it will be stiff forever, though. Any sateen fabric will soften up with wear, Samurai’s hefty back sateen will just offer more patina and moldability.
These mid-rise, relaxed straight Baker Pants come complete with dank Samurai details: iron-made button closure, patch pockets on the front and back, flap closure back pockets, bartack reinforcements, and a dazzling silver selvedge ID that contrasts nicely with this dusty olive – you’re gonna want to show that off. Pair them with any of your denim tops to break up the indigo and you’re in a texture-ridden two-piece to be reckoned with.
