Buzz Rickson’s Issues N-1 in Olive Drab Cotton Satin

If there was ever an all-in-one winter jacket that balanced functionality and style, it would be the N-1 Deck Jacket. Originally used by the Navy during the 40s and 50s, before getting some time in the civilian and surplus circuit, we see it reimagined here today in all its former glory thanks to our friends over at Buzz Rickson’s.

Starting things off is the shell, made from a desirable cotton sateen as opposed to the run-of-the-mill jungle cloth. This gives the outer a distinct weave and sheen ensuring you will be protected from the elements and copycats. But that’s only DEFCON 1 in this defensive formation. Flanked by an alpaca & wool pile liner, to say you will be well insulated is an understatement. And although alpaca isn’t too itchy, we’d still recommend pairing it with a long sleeve or sweat for max comfort.

Literally closed out with its famous double-closure system made up of a repro-Talon MIL spec brass zipper and MIL-spec Urea buttons, your wearable Fort Knox is complete.

Available for $585 from Hinoya.
