Buzz Rickson’s x William Gibson Serve Up More Non-Contract Goodness with Blacked Out Tropical Combat Coat

If you like to wear a lot of black, then the heritage scene isn’t the most fertile ground for you, being dominated by indigo, olive drab, and khaki. Your saviour comes in the form of the Buzz Rickson’s x William Gibson line, your ticket to monochromatic military reproductions for your murdered-out fits.

Crafted in Japan by Buzz Rickson’s and inspired by the vision of American-Canadian fiction writer William Gibson, this coat is your “stealth mode” for any wardrobe operation. The black tone adds an element of sophistication to the Jungle Jacket, paying homage to military heritage while embracing a modern urban aesthetic.

The coat’s design is a meticulous balance of form and function. With more pockets than you can shake a futuristic sci-fi novel at, it’s armed and ready for both utility and style. It’s cut from a 5.5 oz. cotton poplin, the jacket features four buttoned bellow pockets, slanted chest pockets with pen slots, waist adjuster tabs, epaulettes on the shoulders, gusseted buttoned cuffs, an internal gas flap, reproduction saucer ‘Eura’ buttons, and mil-spec printed labelling for that vintage repro feel.

The Buzz Rickson’s x William Gibson collab doesn’t miss, and this coat is no exception.
