Freenote Cloth’s Midway CPO is Made From Japanese Melton Wool

Every time I meet with our Managing Editor, David, he’s always rocking this bright red vintage wool overshirt, and it looks fantastic. I’ve tried to find something comparable myself from the likes of Woolrich or Pendleton but nothing has quite hit the spot yet. And, I’m sorry David, but it looks like Freenote Cloth may have trumped yours, anyway, with their Midway CPO in Red.

Made in the USA from a yard dyed Japanese melton wool blend (wool/poly/nylon/acrylic), the Midway is a beast of an overshirt inspired by the Navy-issued CPO Shirt. I’m loving the giant patch pockets with custom Italian horn buttons that continue onto the placket and cuffs, as well as the overall rugged simplicity of the garment that lets the fabric do the talking. And it’s that simplicity that makes a garment like this such a good investment, especially when you know it’s underpinned by Freenote’s top-quality construction and commitment to quality.
