TCB Releases Anticipated Wrangler-Inspired ‘Working Cat Hero’ Jeans & Jacket

As vintage denim becomes more and more popular, you no longer need to hang your belt loop on Levi’s to perk someone’s indigo ear. In fact – although that red tab will always be the most iconic – you’ll notice people start taking a liking to less mainstream – less common brands (all in relativity of course). And beyond Lee, the only other option in this proverbial big 3 is Wrangler. Tons of history, iconic in cowboy country, interesting denim weave, and still sworn-by today. And yet, fewer pairs are floating around on the secondary market making it a more elusive brand to collect let alone have repros made of.

But thanks to TCB, 2 rare designs have been resurrected in all their former and lesser-known glory. With inspiration dating back to the 1940s, the TCB Working Cat Hero Jeans are carbon copies of Wrangler’s 11MW while the TCB Working Cat Hero Jacket takes on the Wrangler 11MJ. Made in Japan from 11.7 oz. semi-sanforized indigo rope-dyed Japanese denim, this purely American (and I guess Japanese) tuxedo is made from left-hand twill which means a soft feel and vertical fades.

Highlights of the set include slim chest pockets, an action back and embroidery-reinforced pleats on the jacket, and the stellar leather patch and waist tag of the jeans.

Available from $230 at Redcast Heritage.
