Loop & Weft SZ Pinborder Crewneck is Made in Wakayama

The Loop & Weft Original Pin Border French Terry Crew Neck Sweatshirt looks to be a layering godsend, ’cause guess what folks? We’re still in layering season. If you needed just one black crewneck for years to come, you could do little better than a made-in-Japan crew like this, inspired by vintage 1960s pinborder knit styles.

We’re pretty taken aback by this soft-yet-textured fabric. Knit in Wakayama, Japan, from a twisted ‘SZ‘ yarn, this stuff looks as fluffy as a cloud but is assuredly durable. It’s also all about that overdyed (almost faded) black tone overlaid on that thick-knit texture, which adds some nuance to the garment right out of the bag.

Details on this Loop & Weft piece include a slightly relaxed fit, ribbed crew neck/cuffs/hem, 3-needle stitched seams, Loop & Weft tag, and a brushed interior for comfort. There are moments in every season when you’ll want to wear one of these, but the moment for you to secure one won’t stay around forever.

Available for $183 from Redcast Heritage.
