Today’s Fade of the Day is an Aero Leathers Route 66 Leather Jacket that was sent in by Pete Sullivan from the United Kingdom. Pete has been wearing this jacket for a little over 5 years and it has gained a its share of patina as a result.

The leather’s original brown hue has remained, but there has been some discoloration and darkening from wear. Specifically, there are some thick creases in the arms and elbows from movement and lots of darkening around the zippers from use.

Of course, considering this is front-quarter, chrome-tanned horsehide, there’s lots of patina and grain yet to pop on this jacket even after five years of wear!
