After two years of fairly consistent wear, these Pure Blue Japan XX-001, owned by Ian Lyu, are showing some fantastic wear and tear and worthy of being today’s Fade of the Day. The knees have blown out and it appears the crotch might need some attention, too. The indigo has pretty much faded out of all the key areas with the thighs and seat taking the most impact. Check out how the concealed rivets on the back pockets are bursting the through. The whiskers are nice and subtle but check those honeycombs – tight and stacked.
There’s also a certain neppiness coming through in the back of these jeans which is nice to see. Ian says he’s not done anything out of the ordinary to achieve the wear on these jeans, but we still feel it deserves recognition as a solid fade.
