Lately, the releases from venerable Japanese brand Evisu have had us cringing more than cheering, but these new jeans are inspiring some confidence. More subtle than the usual Evisu fare, the 2000T Petero 18oz. jeans pack their punch in the fabric itself, a supremely slubby denim that has epic vertical fades in its future. Other discreetly jaunty details include an angled coin pocket with tonal stitching, and tilted belt loops at the sides and center back.
Keep in mind that these fairly heavy jeans are also cut in a self-described “tight silhouette” as opposed to the usual looser cut that’s paired with heavier denim, so prepare yourself for a period of stiff-kneed break ins. But keep your eyes on the Fade Friday prize and we bet it’ll be worth it in the long run.
