Fade of the Day – Oni Denim 546 (1 Year, 1 Wash, 2 Soaks)

Some would question the logic of wearing heavyweight denim in a tropical country, considering the resulting sweating and chafing that must entail, but when the fades are this good, it’s worth it. Karn Pongsawaung of Thailand has submitted his pair of Oni 546 which he has been sporting for a year, with results worthy of a spot on our Fade Of The Day feature.

As you would expect from Oni, the fabric is far from your regular raw denim: it’s neppy and weighs in at 22 oz.: a combination destined for fades.

The lap has worn in well, and on the flip-side we have a nice wallet fade, and some deep-set honeycombs that are crispy and defined. Stacking completes the look on these heavyweights, which have a long life of fades ahead.
