The Hill-Side’s Blue Jeans With New “TH-S Mills” Selvedge Denim

With two seasons of jeans-making under their belt, The Hill-Side is stepping it up a level in season three with The Hill-Side Mills proprietary denim. The 100% cotton, 14oz. fabric is custom-designed and commissioned by the Brooklyn-based brand, and the only place in the world you’ll find the fabric is on a pair of TH-S denim. It’s manufactured in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture, Japan on 1930s Toyoda looms and has received a single wash.

TH-S has also dialed in the fit, slim-straight with a slight taper, and the design is finished off with discreet branding, a nod to WWII-era jeans that were no frills due to materials rationing: the leather waist patch and copper rivets are blank, and the back rivets are actually hidden. (Don’t worry, if you forget who made your pants you can reference the TH-S twill tape label hidden inside the right back pocket.).

Available from The Hill-Side for $228 in sizes starting at 28 – but act fast, as some larger sizes are already sold out.
