Oh Nudie, how we love to see thee in our inbox. Today’s Fade of the Day is one well-loved pair of Nudie Grim Tim Dry Oranges, featuring enough character to write a book and worn for close to four and a half years by Tommy Lie of Sydney, Australia.
Tommy tells us these jeans mostly saw days spent at school and at work, so it’s safe to say they were worn the majority of his weeks for the last handful of years. In all that time, he only put them through the wash three times as well as one soak, and the results are impressive.
The overall cast of the jeans has lightened considerably, now a medium-blue base with pops of white throughout. The whiskers and thigh fades are subtle and interesting, pairing perfectly with the tightly formed honeycombs in back. The seat has suffered the most in all of this wear, with several holes popping through in the pockets and crotch.
