Patina here, patina there, patina everywhere! Today’s Fade of the Day is of the wallet variety—a KC Co. Simple Veg Tan Leather Wallet sent in by Ram Chettier of Kansas City. It’s also the first time the brand has been featured with us.
With a bit over a year of steady use as his a wallet, it’s taken on that smoldering range of golden caramel tones that everyone loves aged natural veg tanned leather for. The wallet even has some indigo crocking from Ram’s jeans for good measure. To keep the leather nice and supple, he had the good idea to apply neatsfoot oil to the wallet.
For being more than a year old, the wallet is in really great shape, no ragged areas or odd creasing, and we wonder how much that neatsfoot contributed towards that. Heck, even the stitching is still super white.
