Don’t be that guy that gets drenched in every rainstorm because you’re too cool for a raincoat. It’s 2017 man, and brands like Monitaly exist to make sure you can look good while getting your weather protection on!
Their latest release, the Vancloth Coverall Shirt Jacket, combines a classic chore coat profile with some added features (and bigger pockets) for a unique piece of outerwear that’s both oddly appealing and unexpectedly versatile. Cut from a wind and water resistant sateen fabric, this jacket still maintains its light weight, which means you can rock it year-round with ease.
It features two massive wrap-around pockets at the waist—reminiscent of old hunting jackets you might find in your grandparents attic—along with a dual snap/flap pocket on the chest and a hidden interior breast pocket. The button front placket, pointed collar and button cuffs give a subtle nod to vintage military herringbone garments, but you can be sure this isn’t any normal ill-fitting Goodwill find. If you need more proof, just read the stitched in note from the makers.
