Naked & Famous, the kings of novelty denim, are back, this time with a lightweight 9oz. summer jean in the winter! Now, to be clear they don’t flat out mention that anywhere (and there aren’t any “Preemptively made for global warming” tags), so it’s a little perplexing as to why they’re releasing these in December. But it’s not like snow falls everywhere, so why not.
Continuing to switch things up from the denim norm, this pair is offered in a unique “antique faded indigo color,” which looks something like your dark rigid jeans would after a ton of washes leached most of that indigo out. That lighter tone might be harder to pair with other items in your wardrobe, but my recent strolls through the airport suggest to me that “pairing” isn’t really a thing at the moment.
They’re cut in the famed Super Skinny Guy fit, and come outfitted with a white selvedge ID, contrast stitching, a brown leather patch, silver metallic buttons and rivets, and—just like apologies—they’re made in Canada.
