Ah yes, we all remember our first pair of raw denim jeans. We fretted and sweated the details: “Should I wash them before 6 months? Is it a good idea to put them in the freezer? How should I cuff them?” Some of us just wore and washed them though, like the owner of today’s Fade of the Day, a pair of Levi’s 501.

These jeans come to us from Alejandro Yee of Mexico who says he wore this pair almost every day to college and then on weekends for 11 years (!). During that time he washed them whenever because he had yet to receive the ‘sage wisdom’ about how to wash your raw denim (perhaps for the best, Alejandro!)

That resulted in some old-school Levi’s fades, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
