Fade of the Day – Levi’s 501 (~3 Years, 3 Washes, 1 Soak)

*Warning: the Levi’s 501 is a pair of gateway raw denim.* If someone tells you that you need to shell out big money to achieve admirable fades, do me a favor and link them to this article that I am currently writing. I’m genuinely so meta. Yusef Yafie from Indonesia is showing off some Levi’s 501s in today’s installment of Fade of the Day.

After almost three years of daily wear and tear, these jeans have held up formidably and have required no repairs. Helped along by three washes and one soak, the jeans are starting to show their true colors. The honeycombs are popping out of the jeans creating an eye-catching texture. This texture is accented by the lightest of blue hues on the jeans, which give off a strong glow. The whiskers are nicely worn in to the point where they are washing out. The thighs have achieved that dirty washed out look that can’t be faked. The creases along the knees are impressive and seem cohesive with the aforementioned honeycombs. These jeans are a real package deal and I’d recommend them to anyone starting their raw denim journey.
