RRL Take To The Mountains With a Ripstop-Paneled Sherpa Liner

With winter weather approaching, just about every brand is dropping their personal twist on that most classic of F/W pieces: the Patagonia fleece. And while there are all manner of competitors in this fleece rat race (Uniqlo U, we’re looking at you), why not go with the best of the best?

RRL has set the industry standard for many years, so it’s pretty safe to trust them with their interpretation of the fleece: their Ripstop-Paneled Sherpa Liner. Olive drab ripstop detailing handsomely complements the Mountain Cream color way and these military-inspired patches serve a purpose too, they reinforce the whole piece, making it even more resilient. The fuzzy shell is mostly polyester with a touch of wool to keep you warm and dry and might make you so irresistibly fuzzy that strangers may reach out and hug you on the street. Beware. A ripstop chest pocket and two hand warmer pockets keep the whole thing extra-practical. I mean, this thing is just begging to be taken out on a blustery hike!

There’s no shortage of options, but go with the fleece that ol’ man Ralph would wear.
