Iron Heart Whips Up the IHM-31 Whipcord Peacoat

The Whipcord Pea Coat is Iron Heart’s answer to the classic naval style jacket, and you guessed it, it’s way tougher. Thanks to the wonderful whipcord material, the jacket becomes instantly unlike any pea coat you’ll find littered hanging on thrift store garment racks, which might make it appealing enough to be your next naval inspired jacket. Unless you’re a pirate, in which case, you probably pilfer your pea coats from your enemies. Or the mall.

Made in Japan, with a cotton whipcord shell, sure to age beautifully as any Iron Heart garment. Lined with grey long pile 80% wool, 20% alpaca material, the coat’s sleeves are lined with quilted satin for comfortable and warm protection that’s easy to slip on and off. Other details include fat, traditional anchor buttons, two corduroy-lined slash pockets on the shell (and two inside), and knitted storm cuffs to keep the wind away.

Available for $825 at Iron Heart.
