TCB Channels Early Workwear With Its Pleated Blouse

Hajime Inoue, founder and owner of TCB, admittedly makes the clothes he “really wants to make”. While he is inspired by workwear and denim products from the good old days, his real desire is to make them fit nicely into modern day life.

Here we’ve got TCBs latest time-honored jacket, the Pleated Blouse. As you might expect, this TCB offering is made in Japan to an exacting high standard through small scale production. Taking cues from early workwear pieces from the turn of the twentieth century, it’s got that classic ranch hand/miner vibe with a triple pleat front, two roomy lower patch pockets, and custom TCB steel buttons.

Made from a rope-dyed right-hand twill, this one wash denim comes in at a nice and light 8 oz. making it ideal for the warmer months. It features period-correct cinch back and contrasting white stitching, both of which add charming heritage character. And if that wasn’t enough for you, all seams are flat-felled with a single needle.

Originally designed in the Old West, re-imagined in Kojima.
