Calee’s Clip-On Glasses Are Handcrafted in Japan’s ‘City of Glasses’

Spec wearers, listen up! The answer to your problems is here. It isn’t anything new-fangled and it certainly isn’t those dorky transitional lenses — the solution is an older one—one often worn by James Dean! Clip-ons.

Calee makes their vintage-inspired frames in the famous “Glasses City,” Sabae in Japan. Their classic acetate glasses are polished and finessed to make them resistant to shock and heat. Seven lobe hinges make for smooth action and plenty of life and the clip-on tinted lenses come in a green or black hue.

The glasses look great with or without the clip-ons (which can even be bought separately to clip to other frames), but there is a certain cool-factor with them on.
