Indigofera Opens The Door To Womenswear Through a Collaboration With Miriam Parkman

Indigofera has teamed up with handweaver and textile artist Miriam Parkman from Stockholm, to offer the ‘High Coast’ collection. A first womenswear venture for Indigofera, both the brand and Miriam have a mutual appreciation for nature, knowledge of craft, and made-to-last items.

The collection includes two blankets, a pair of high waist denim pants, a flannel shirt, a wrap-dress, and a Mountain Dazzler wool jacket alongside chains stitched patches made in the USA, and a bandana made in the UK. With a heavy influence from Miriam’s love and admiration for mid-century work and Western wear, the collection exudes Americana color, texture, and tones. From the Norwegian-made wool blankets (a trademark of Indigofera since their inception in 2009) to the brushed flannel on the Cliffs & Moss Shirt, the High Coast collection has an ingrained feeling of nature and artisanal spirit.

Mat and Pontus had long wanted to offer women’s clothing but didn’t feel they were qualified to make the jump, all the while Miriam was keen to offer her blankets through Indigofera in order to sell them at a more accessible price point. A few discussions down the road and this is undoubtedly a collaboration that just makes sense. We talk a lot about craft and community here at Heddels, and we feel this is a great example of both.
