Fade Friday – Evisu No.1 Special Lot 2000 (10+ Years, 3 Washes, Unknown Soaks)

Canada’s Shane L. is doing the Osaka 5 proud with his Evisu No.1 Special Lot 2000 jeans. Worn for over 10 years, Shane has been fading longer than some of us have even known what raw denim is!

Having possibly the best origin story, Shane got these jeans on his first trip to Japan, a pilgrimage I’m sure most of us have on our bucket lists. He has worn them all over, including all around Asia and throughout art school. Since then, these jeans have gone under the knife a few times, with one alteration and tons of reinforcements all adding to their individualized look.

After over a decade of wear, there really aren’t better lowkey fades that you could ask for. These jeans tick all the boxes including whispy whiskers, nicely worn thighs and knees, and cobweb honeycombs. Although the seat is plenty worn, the Evisu ‘seagulls’ are still flying high. See you at the 20 year anniversary, Shane.
