Self Edge just added Samurai Denim to its stacked roster of Japanese denim manufacturers, with a little something for everyone who’s fond of this fun brand. There are three different pairs of jeans in two different fits, plus some black and white T-Shirt 2-packs, so now you can finally wear a Samurai uniform.
Samurai has always offered an interesting take on denim- from their highly textured and heavier-than-average weight fabrics, meticulous construction, interesting details you won’t see anywhere else (wait ’til you see the pocket bag details on the S211VX), and a certain balance of humor and playfulness that some other brands don’t seem to capture. They’re also the only brand out there growing their own cotton in Japan.
There are two straight taper jeans –one in natural indigo — a heavyweight slim-taper jean, and black/white medium weight tubular-knit T-Shirt 2-Packs. All the jeans are rinsed, so they’ll stretch a little, and the T-Shirts run a little slim.
