Fade Friday – Grease Point Workwear Work Jean (3.5 Years, 15 Washes)

Brock in Portland, OR has been wearing his Grease Point Workwear Work Jeans for 3.5 years now and rumor has it, he uses these jeans instead of a resume. That’s because Brock’s recipe for fantastic fades is only one step long: ‘work hard’.

The result of all this toil, as well as 15 washes, are the level of fades that designer brands think they achieve when they pre-wash their jeans but never quite nail. Who would know that all you needed to do was actually wear your jeans over and over?

Apart from intense pockets of contrast around the knees and lap, what sets these jeans apart has to be the amount of indigo Brock was able to squeeze of out them. The bright air brush-y blue n white appearance pops off the jeans and surely puts other jeans to shame when walking down the street. Like, there is literally nothing left to fade in the thigh.

And apart from clocking in at 16 oz already, these particular fades were twice as hard to achieve considering the front panel has been reinforced with a double layer of denim. I wonder what peeling back the top layer would show?
