Fade Friday – Samurai S710XX (2.5 Years, 2 Washes, 1 Soak)

Thank God it’s Fade Friday! Taking the top spot for this week is another deadly pair of Samurai Jeans, this time a pair of S710XX coming to us from college student Fikri Khairullah, of Indonesia. Fikri has been sporting these 19 oz. beasts in the tropical climes of Indonesia for two-and-a-half years now, and he’s been rewarded with some grail-status fades that are in a league of their own.

Daily wear to campus and the occasional mountain hike, along with two washes and one soak, has proven to be the perfect fade-formula for Fikri’s jeans. As with all good fades, the contrast is super high, and each crease is sharp and defined. The heavily faded lap is paired with some strong whiskers, and the honeycombs are about as epic as you’ll see on our fade features. The back pocket arcs have gone from stealth mode to now being fully visible as the indigo has broken down, which is always a bonus with a well worn pair of Samurais.

One repair has been needed on the crotch, but other than that, these are still Fikri’s most treasured pair of jeans and he’s showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

You can keep up with Fikri on Instagram.
