Levi’s Made & Crafted Resurrects Defunct 1950s ‘Denim Family’ Label

Taking a genderless approach to creating a product line is becoming increasingly normal, and something that consumers in the modern era expect to see from the brands that they know and love. Denim virtuosos Levi’s Made & Crafted has thrown its hat into this ring by micing old values and new, reviving a defunct sub Label from the 1950s, and applying forward-thinking design work fit for the 21st century and beyond.

Levi’s Denim Family was a sportswear label rooted in denim for —  you guessed it — the wh0le family. Taking that original inspiration and merging it with a simple, clean, utilitarian aesthetic that can be rocked by both guys and girls give you this glorious genderless collection.

Whilst we can’t see much production transparency on this line, Levi’s Made & Crafted gear is usually pretty well engineered. Each garment is made from a 2×1 lightweight grey weft selvedge Japanese Chambray,

with stand-out pieces for me being the Pleated Trouser (I’m a sucker for a wide pant), and the Trucker Jacket for pure, iconic Levi’s versatility. Each garment could easily find its way into your rotation or be worn with anything else from the range for a contemporary Canadian Tuxedo.

Available in the U.S only from Levi’s (levi.com) with prices ranging from $248-$498
