The Flat Head’s Puffed Up Its Western Shirt Silhouette for Its Denim Puffer Jacket

If you wear a lot of overshirts, this piece by The Flat Head could be your new grail. The Japanese denim label is one of the most revered brands in the scene and since coming back from a hiatus, it has been regularly dropping bangers like this Denim Puffer Jacket.

The Flat Head boss Mayashi Kobayashi is a well-known vintage fanatic with a passion for 1950s garb, so it’s no surprise that he is looking to a mid-century classic like the Western shirt to inform his creations. This Denin Puffer Jacket is a Western-style overshirt-jacket hybrid made from 10 oz. 100% Texas cotton Japanese selvedge denim. This fabric has a lovely indigo tone that will fade with wear, and comes one washed so you don’t have to worry about any shrinkage.

Filled with insulation and fitted with a jacquard cotton lining, the Denim Puffer Jacket walks straight into the upper echelon of selvedge denim goods with sexy details like natural mother of pearl snap buttons, nylon sleeve lining for ease of wear, selvedge gussets, and selvedge line that runs down the inside of the button placket.

Available from Redcast Heritage for $843.
