It may be a cold, frosty January right now, but these Franklin & Poe x Padmore & Barnes Slides have got me looking forward to first day of shorts, a t-shirt, and some heel exposure.
Padmore & Barnes is a storied Irish shoemaker, whose history intertwines with the legendary Clarks, whom they used to produce footwear for. This connection is visible in the shoemaker’s collab with our friends at Franklin & Poe, through the inclusion of a crepe rubber outsole, something that is synonymous for both Padmore & Clarks.
The upper is made from a lovely veg-tan leather that sits ready to mop up patina as you practically live in these Slides ’round the house, the beach, and in the bodega. Each pair is made in Portugal and comes with a dual-branded cork/suede footbed a la Birkenstock.
