Warehouse & Co. Made a Suede Garrison Belt

One of the bugs that bites lovers of repro denim and other heritage wear is the appearance. I don’t mean the silhouette, which obviously plays a role, but the look of the actual fabric. From its complex color profile to the layers, grain and texture, raw denim — rigid or ripped ‘n’ faded — is eye candy, only to be accentuated by an endless herd of leather accessories. The most common of which is a belt.

And until this point, if someone said which belt pairs best with your favorite pair of blue jeans, a solid brown garrison belt would have been my answer. It’s tops in pretty much any circle. The go-to for GIs, rebels, rockers, and beyond, there is something about the brown-on-blue with that octagonal buckle that looks too good. But Warehouse & Co. decided to one-up history with their Suede Garrison Belt.

Coming in a tan cowhide, the finely textured suede of this made-in-Japan masterpiece will perfectly complement the look of any raw denim or other high-quality fabric. Not to mention develop some wear and patina of its own. The perfect variation on a classic, this belt is one you’ll want to corral while supplies last, ‘cos I doubt it’ll stick around long.

Available for $87 from HINOYA.
