Reliability is a word that I find myself using more and more when it comes to all facets of wardrobe rotation, especially when it comes to footwear choices. The need for options that you know can be worn continuously with all of your fits for the foreseeable future is a must, and the Alden Ranger Moc M2603 is without doubt one such option.

A mainstay of USA-made footwear, Alden was founded in 1884 by Charles H Alden in Massachusetts where it still remains today. Taking inspiration from traditional moccasin designs hailing from what became Maine, New England, the model features a moccasin-toe blucher design with an all-around reverse welt, full leather lining, and insole.

The entire upper is cut from a gorgeous coffee-brown ‘snuff’ suede which flaunts tonal stitching throughout and houses 5 brass eyelets. This upper sits upon a natural plantation crepe rubber sole that’s Goodyear welted, meaning you can get these re-soled if this is ever required.

Note that due to the use of Alden’s Van last, these will run large, so taking at least a half size down is advised.

Available exclusively from Clutch Cafe for $690.
