Mister Freedom Made its Ranch Blouse in NOS Duck Canvas

Out in the repro world, you see a lot of denim jackets, especially when digging into older designs – think Levi’s Type I and II Jackets in addition to their competitors made by the likes of Penny Foremost and Lee. You’ll also see a healthy amount of duck canvas, most notably on chore and hunting jackets and work pants. However, it’s rare to see these paths cross, which is exactly why Mister Freedom‘s Ranch Blouse ‘Frontier’ Edition is such a sensational piece.

Taking queues from vintage and antique work garments prevalent in the early part of the 20th century, the design is a dreamy mix of pleats, a rounded cossack-style corduroy collar, slant pockets, more pleats, and exposed rivets. However the kicker is, instead of denim, we are treated to a NOS Duck Canvas fabric. A denim-centric jacket made from canvas? Sign us up!

Finished with stitched ‘M’ detailing on the pockets, this buckle-backed jacket might be inspired by the past but it can keep up with contemporary designs all day long. Why? Because it’s timeless.
