Fade Friday – UES 400T (8 Years, Unknown Washes)

Britain’s steeziest gardener is back for another edition of Fade Friday. After sharing his faded Iron Hearts with us last month, Layton has uprooted another pair of beautifully beaten jeans. But this time it’s a pair of UES 400T selvedge denim jeans.

The more Fade submissions we receive where jeans have been put through their paces in manual labor, the more I think there is no hope for us desk jockeys. Look at these things! Layton hasn’t beaten around the bush, he’s worn these for 8 years as a landscape gardener, weeding out all of the indigo dye in the process and forming super-faded lap and seat areas that compliment the steely Americana-blue of the lesser-fade regions.

The fact that these have held up over nearly a decade of wear as a landscape gardener is a true testament to the quality of UES denim, but Layton tells us that he’s retired these for weekend wear before they do start developing more damage. We don’t blame you, dude. We’d want to keep these things in rotation for as long as possible.

You can catch up with Layton on Instagram @spitfiredealer
