Switch Up Your Shirt Game with Burgus Plus’ Typewriter Shirt

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Burgus Plus, here to save your wardrobe from the monotony of all those Layman-ass Oxford fabric* button-downs you have hanging up in there.

*Just to clarify, there’s nothing wrong with an Oxford shirt. This one’s just got me more excited.)

Crafted from 100% cotton, Burgus Plus’ BP23503 L/S Typewriter Shirt is a visually interesting piece made in a well-known Japanese factory specializing in dress shirt production. It’s called a “typewriter” shirt not because of the fabric composition, but because of the texture, which is reminiscent of the imprints left by a typewriter. It typically has a distinctive raised or ribbed pattern that resembles the look of typed characters on a sheet of paper. This texture adds visual interest to the fabric and can give it a unique and vintage-inspired appearance. A small detail, but one worth appreciating.

The shirt’s silhouette is classic, with a relaxed fit for ease of wear, and the design is simple and minimalist. A strong addition to any Ivy-dominant or business wardrobe for days when you’re feeling particularly spicy.

Available for $120 in two colorways – blue and beige – from Hinoya.
