Indigofera Introduces New ‘Kain’ Fit in Neppy “Kobakama Wolly” Denim

It’s time to rise up. Well, at least that’s what Indigofera is doing with its new high-rise ‘Kain’ silhouette.

Kain is the newest fit from Indigofera, featuring the highest rise in the Swedish apparel brand’s lineup, debuting in a gorgeously neppy 14 oz. ‘Kobakama Wolly’ Denim. For those familiar with the brand, it is most similar to the Kirk fit, but with a slightly narrower leg. Sporting selvedge detailing and a straight leg that shoots directly down from the hip, this cut comes straight out of the 1950s. The Kobakama Wolly Denim is milled in Japan then cut and sewn into Kain jeans in Portugal

If you’re a fan of mid-century vintage fits, this one is right up your alley. Especially when you stick with the 34” inseam and roll up a 2-4” cuff, selvedge detailing on full display. However, the real star of the show is the aforementioned heavily nepped denim. All that white warp peeking through the indigo offers the kind of texture you normally have to earn from your jeans with years of hearty wear. As a patina starts to develop, the speckled nep will sink in to provide an extra layer of detail. Fade junkies will be treated to a unique experience, just don’t forget to submit your photos for a chance to appear on Fade Friday.
