Dippa Restu Putra Utama is letting his Sage Ironbergs do the talking for this installment of Fade Friday. No really, the only thing Dippa included in his submission was that he and the jeans are “All about adventures”. But, you know what, that’s all we need because these jeans are magic.

Let us just start by saying that the jury is still out as to whether these jeans were, at any point in their life span, struck by lightning. Every single square inch of these jeans is faded to some degree, and the fade lines throughout are as symmetrical as any naturally faded jeans could ever be. And I’m not talking about no dinky whiskers or honeycombs neither. These creases will make you question whether a chisel and hammer were involved in carving out such monster fades. The lap lines are robust and transition beautifully into the massive thigh and knee fades. Which, by the way, somehow create a contrast despite both the thighs and whiskers being entirely devoid of any indigo. The lines at the knee straight up look like beams of light flooding through a window. Not to mention, the back of the knees have formed intense honeycombs that jump off the jeans.

But the craziest part is that these jeans have only been worn for a year and eight months and have received just one measly wash and two soaks. In under two years, Dippa has the indigo in these jeans waving the white flag. Symbolic since there’s more white on these jeans than blue. So, although it wasn’t stated, it’s clear this old boy has put these jeans on an intense fading regimen which likely consisted of daily wear during any and every task. Normally, we look forward to updates on fade progressions, but we aren’t even sure there is more fading to do. However, if we have learned one thing about Dippa, it’s that he views life is an adventure and he is up for the challenge.
