Blue Blue Japan’s Latest Type II is Made From Supima Cotton Selvedge

Got Supima cotton? The Blue Blue Japan Supima Selvedge Denim Type II Trucker Jacket does. Featuring fabric woven from 100% Supima cotton yarns, this jacket is soft, premium, and durable. The cotton utilized here features a natural twist, lending itself well to being milled into cotton twill, AKA jawns fabric.

The lovely cotton yarns produced by this cotton variety have been rope-dyed by Japanese indigo dyers for Blue Blue, a process which typically leaves an undyed core, which means… fadez. This buttery soft Type II is going to give way to a lovely light blue and white in areas of wear by the time you’re done with it – and some time before, I suspect.

This take on the classic Levi’s-inspired Type II jacket from Blue Blue has a slightly longer silhouette than other Type IIs on the market, and comes with pleats on the back to articulate the fit. In addition to the dual flap-closure chest pockets, each jacket is constructed with a metal button front placket, adjustable cuffs and hem, reinforcing yokes, contrast stitching, bar tack and rivet reinforcements, and a lovely indigo-dyed leather neck label.
