The classic varsity silhouette got a bit of an update here, being custom-designed by Nine Lives to suit their tastes, and the effect is wondrous. In lieu of a wool body, they employed a custom-milled, 100% cotton sashiko stitch-reinforced fabric. This is one of the crazier sashiko fabrics we’ve seen lately in terms of overall texture, zoom on in to see what I mean.
Made in Japan like most of Nine Live’s quality goods, details on the Go Blue! Varisty include custom Japanese steerhide leather sleeves and trims, custom indigo-dyed thick-ribbed cuffs, collar (that can be worn up or folded down like a shawl collar), and hem. YKK Excella button front placket and adjustable cuffs round out this most impressive piece that is a touchdown for indigo lovers who can spend over a month’s rent on an incredible piece of outerwear.
